NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
In a second reading on Tuesday night, the Metro Council approved a plan to rename a section of 14th Avenue in honor of a popular Nashville disc jockey who passed away earlier this year.
Curtis Senior, who was known as "Scooby" on 101.1 The Beat died in February.
Organizers said so many supporters emailed the Metro Council in support of naming a street after the well-known radio host, their email inbox flooded.
The proposal requires a final reading in December.
