For families who want to experience a traditional Thanksgiving meal but don't want to cook at home, several Nashville restaurants will be open.Preparations were underway Tuesday at Puckett's Grocery in downtown Nashville where 75 turkeys are being smoked, roasted and fried."Our holiday buffet will include everything from smoked turkey to smoked ham and pulled pork. We'll also have our fried chicken and all the traditional sides," said chef Keith West.Puckett's will offer a holiday buffet at both its downtown Nashville and Franklin locations.At the Loveless Cafe, cooks are pulling 24 hour shifts to prepare for their Thursday crowd.Reservations for Thanksgiving Day have been full for three weeks, but walk-ins are welcome.The Loveless will prepare 60 fresh turkeys, 20 smoked turkey breasts, 175 pounds of cornbread dressing and 40 gallons of giblet gravy."This place is kind of like going to your grandmother's house. It's true country, southern style cooking," said Loveless pit master George Harvell.Other Nashville restaurants that will be open for Thanksgiving include Sperry's, Capitol Grille in the Hermitage Hotel and Monell's.
