Waynesboro woman, 23, arrested for statutory rape

Aanaka Petty, 23, is charged with statutory rape for allegedly having sex with a minor in February.

WAYNESBORO, Tenn. -

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Waynesboro woman for statutory rape on Tuesday after she was recently indicted by a Wayne County grand jury.

In May, authorities began investigating allegations that Aanaka Petty had sex with an underage male in February.

The 23-year-old woman faces one count of statutory rape.

She was booked into the Wayne County jail on a $2,500 bond.
