NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Ten students from Lipscomb University are giving up part of their Thanksgiving break in order to give back to those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The group of students and three faculty/parent volunteers left the university on Friday.

The team will spend four days doing manual labor for hurricane victims in New Jersey.

Organizers said the students will be housed by members of the Tabernacle Church of Christ in Tabernacle, New Jersey.

The group is set to return to Nashville that day after Thanksgiving.
