NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro police are investigating Monday after a driver crashed in the front lawn at Nashville's News 2.
The vehicle was discovered shortly after 7 a.m. outside the TV station on Murfreesboro Road.
According to police, the vehicle went off the roadway and hit a utility pole before coming to a rest.
The pole snapped and was being held up solely by the attached guy wires.
The front passenger tire was detached from the car and a piece of the rim was found a few feet away.
The vehicle's airbags deployed as a result. Empty beer bottles were discovered inside the car.
The incident was thought to happen sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m.
No further details were immediately released.
Police are investigating.
