Man, 45, dead after south Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man is dead after being fatally shot just south of downtown early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened just after Midnight in the 800 block of Claiborne Street near the J.C. Napier Housing Complex, Metro police said.

The investigation shows that Calvin Beudion, 45, was shot inside his car by someone on the outside.

A passerby attempted CPR on Beudion before he was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Beudion was known to frequently visit the housing complex after he got off work.

Police have yet to determine a motive.

Anyone with information is urged to call Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
