The incident was reported just before Noon at 500 West Main Street.

The strip mall includes Hendersonville Sporting Goods, Hendersonville Furniture and an ALDI grocery store.

Emergency personnel first responded to a billing and collections medical facility located on lower level of the building after someone fell ill.

Five others presented symptoms while paramedics were on the scene.

All six patients were taken to Hendersonville Hospital to be checked out.  Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Piedmont Natural Gas officials responded to the scene to investigate. Nothing was immediately found.

The strip mall, which is currently being renovated, was evacuated.  They businesses, with the exception of the medical facility, reopened two hours later.
