Car fire slows traffic along I-40 in Bellevue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Traffic was slow along Interstate 40 due to a fully involved car fire in the Bellevue area Friday morning.

Crews responded to the fire shortly before 8 a.m. on I-40 West between the exits for Highway 70S and Old Hickory Boulevard.

Traffic was affected with the right lanes blocked.

The fire was extinguished and the scene was cleared by 8:30 a.m.

No further details were immediately released.
