A Clarksville man was arrested Wednesday evening after police said he threatened his girlfriend with a knife and threw his one-year-old daughter into a wall during a domestic dispute.
Patrick Winter's girlfriend called police around 5:15 p.m. after he came home from work and the two got into an argument.
According to the arrest report, the argument began because Winter, 31, was supposed to watch their daughter but passed out drunk instead.
The argument escalated and Winter grabbed a knife, held it against the woman's wrist and neck and threatened to kill her.
Winter then grabbed their daughter and tossed her against a wall.
The assault continued after the woman picked up the child and they were both threatened with the knife as Winter pinned them against a wall.
He also, at some point, punched a hole in the wall.
Police responded to the home and arrested Winter.
He was charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault, child abuse and neglect and vandalism and booked into the Montgomery County jail on a $25,500 bond.
The child suffered an abrasion to her forehead but was not seriously injured.
