Man, 41, hit near Vanderbilt Children's Hospital

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A 41-year-old pedestrian was struck while crossing a crosswalk near Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt Wednesday night.

The incident was reported around 6 p.m. at 23rd Avenue South at Blakemore Avenue.

Police Captain Kay Lockey told Nashville's News 2 the male victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The victim's identity was not immediately released.

Police are continuing to investigate.

The driver of the vehicle was not immediately charged.

No additional information was released.
