Police seek identity of man who robbed cabbie

Nashville detectives are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the man who on November 3 robbed a cab driver at knifepoint.

The victim was dispatched by his company just before 10 p.m. to pick up a fare in the 1400 block of Dickerson Pike.

The suspect told the cab driver to take him to an address on Green Lane.

When they arrived at the location, the victim told the suspect what he owed for the ride.  The suspect then pulled a knife on the driver and forced him out of the vehicle.

The cab, a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, was recovered a short time later on Dickerson Pike at Broadmoor Drive.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is urged to contact Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word "CASH" along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES).
