GALLATIN, Tenn. -

A 14-year-old girl has been charged with two counts of filing a false report after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of two schools in Sumner County Wednesday afternoon.

Gallatin High School and R.T. Fisher School were evacuated around 12:30 p.m. after a teacher at R.T. Fisher found a crumbled up note indicating a bomb.

Students and staff were evacuated from both buildings and later dismissed early.

Gallatin polices spokesperson Bill Storment told Nashville's News 2 officials were sweeping the schools although nothing was immediately found.

The schools are located approximately two miles apart off Highway 31E.

Authorities said the minor remains in the Sumner County Juvenile Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
