I know that this blog has traditionally been about weather/science, but many of our readers are hunters and fishermen (and women).

Bow hunting season for deer is already underway, and gun season starts Saturday.

There will be hundreds if not thousands of hunters out this weekend.

Unfortunately, over the weekend, 49 year old Kerry Seiber fell to his death from his tree stand while hunting in Williamson County.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I know his family would want to keep this common accident from happening to someone else.

The following is a link to the story that includes some advice from TWRA's Doug Markham (also of TV & radio fame).  Doug is respected by all who enjoy the great outdoors for his work and advice.
