Fire damages Murfreesboro mobile home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Crews are investigating a fire at a mobile home in Murfreesboro that sparked early Monday morning.

The fire was reported just after 4 a.m. at a residence in the 1300 block of Wenlon Drive.

According to a news release, the fire started in the back bedroom.

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Fire Marshal Carl Peas said the two residents were not home at the time of the fire.

Peas said the two were in the process of moving out and only a small amount of furniture was inside at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
