CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - In its first game since long-time coach Pat Summitt stepped down, No. 20 Tennessee was stunned by Chattanooga 80-71 on Friday night.

Summitt, who announced last year she had early-onset dementia, exited in April after winning eight national titles in 38 seasons. This marked the Lady Vols' first game under Holly Warlick, who spent 27 years as an assistant to Summitt.

The Hall of Fame coach remains on staff as head coach emeritus and watched Friday's game from the stands.

Meighan Simmons scored 23 points for Tennessee, which committed 26 turnovers.

Taylor Hall scored 24 points to lead Chattanooga, which never trailed in the second half and beat Tennessee for the first time since Jan. 26, 1973. The Lady Mocs had lost the last 19 games in this series.
