A popular watering hole in the Melrose area now has a second location in west Nashville.
M.L. Rose Craft Beer and Burgers has turned an old service station into a neighborhood pub, ready to serve hungry folks in the Sylvan Park area.
The restaurant opened Monday on Charlotte Avenue near the busy intersection of 46th Avenue just off Interstate 40.
Known for its specialty beef burgers and a beer list that includes dozens of local breweries, M.L. Rose hopes the west side will embrace its unique menu and very unusual digs.
Owner Austin Ray said, "We spent a lot of time and effort trying to maintain the integrity of this old service station that has been here since the 1920s. I really think this neighborhood pub concept is something all of these neighborhoods Sylvan Park, historic West Town, have been hungry for a long time, so we're excited."
The pub features a chandelier made out of mufflers.
The staff also turned an old service station garage bay door into a roll-up door to the patio.
M.L. Rose is open seven days a week, serves a late night menu until 1 a.m. and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
