Plans move forward for new Murfreesboro Walmart

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

Plans are continuing to move forward for a new Walmart Supercenter proposed in Murfreesboro.

The retailer hopes to open a location on Memorial Boulevard, near the Murfreesboro airport.

City staff will consider the new 17-acre development on Thursday in a special meeting .

The proposal is expected to be an agenda item during an upcoming planning commission meeting scheduled for November 21.
