NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Republican Marsha Blackburn has been elected U.S. House, District 7, Tennessee defeating Scott Beasley and Pat Riley.

Blackburn said she is excited and grateful for the vote and is honored to serve.

Blackburn also said how exactly the next President's policies will impact Middle Tennesseans.

"The way that its going to impact us is specifically through jobs and the economy by rolling back regulation that has really just stymied growth in our state," Blackburn said.

Republican Diane Black was also re-elected to U.S. House, District 6, Tennessee defeating Credo Amouzouvik and four other opponents.
