Vandy's Stephanie Holzer out for season with dislocated knee
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Vanderbilt center Stephanie Holzer will miss the entire season after dislocating a knee Saturday in the 16th-ranked Commodores' 81-53 exhibition victory over Alabama-Huntsville.
Holzer, a 6-foot-4 junior, has been an honorable mention all-Southeastern Conference selection each of the last two seasons. She averaged 11 points and ranked fourth in the SEC with 7.5 rebounds per game last season. She compiled 11.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in 2010-11 and was named the SEC sixth woman of the year.
Vanderbilt opens the regular season Saturday against McNeese State.
