
Metro police are looking for the person or persons responsible for opening fire on a moving car on the interstate.
Police told Nashville's News 2 the incident happened on Interstate 40 near Elm Hill Pike.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, and his two passengers told police they were driving down I-40 when a car pulled up beside them and fired multiple shots at their vehicle without warning.
The driver was hit once, but was not seriously injured.
The victim drove himself to the hospital where he was treated and released.
He is expected to make a full recovery.
Police are continuing to investigate.
