Suspect arrested after stabbing woman with scissors

A woman is charged with aggravated assault after attacking another woman with a pair of scissors.

Police said the two women, staying at the Ramada Inn on Atrium Way, were in town selling magazines with several other people. The fight began outside the women's rooms before escalating.

Authorities said the fight started when both women began pushing one another. The suspect, from Washington D.C., then pulled out a pair of scissors, repeatedly stabbing the victim.

The victim, from Nevada, was transported to Summit Medical Center where she was released shortly after.

The suspect's only charge was aggravated assault.
