A woman is defending her innocence after her estranged husband told police she had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl the couple allowed to move in to their home.

Amanda Taylor, 25, is charged with three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.

Her estranged husband Larry Taylor, 33, is charged with one count of statutory rape by an authority figure and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Larry Taylor was previously charged with two counts of bigamy after Amanda Taylor alerted police that he married her before divorcing his two previous wives.

Amanda Taylor told Nashville's News 2 by phone that she never had a sexual relationship with the girl, and that she did not know about the allegations until her arrest in September.

"I couldn't believe it because I have three children and I would never hurt a child whatsoever. I would never touch a child," she said. "My children are my world and I would die for them."

Police were alerted to the alleged sexual relationship after a tip about explicit photos on Larry Taylor's cell phone.

According to arrest records, Larry Taylor admitted to the sexual relationship and implicated Amanda Taylor.  The arrest records also show that the victim corroborated Larry Taylor's account of the relationship.

Amanda Taylor said her husband implicated her out of revenge for telling police he married her while married to two other women.

"I know when I went and filed charges with him about the bigamy he did tell me he was going to do anything and everything in his power to get back at me," she said. "When l left him he was just hysterical and asking me to come back."

She continued, "I told him no and then the next thing I know I am going to jail."

Amanda Taylor said she is pregnant and has three other children to support. She lost her job as a result of her arrest and has been unable to find employment.

She is due back in court on November 16 and plans to defend herself until the charges are dropped or she goes to trial.

"I am not guilty," she said. "What people don't understand is it is my children who are actually suffering."

Amanda Taylor is free on $20,000 bond.

Larry Taylor remains in the Sumner County Jail in lieu of $70,000 bond.

He is due in court November 8 on his bigamy charges.
