Pedestrian injured after being struck by car in east Nashville - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

A man was injured after being struck by a vehicle while crossing an east Nashville road Wednesday night.

The accident occurred on Main Street, near Neill Street around 8:45 p.m.

Police told Nashville's News 2 it is believed the driver of the vehicle did not see the man, who was wearing all black, crossing the roadway.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is said to have suffered broken bones.

No additional information was released.
