Police work to identify 2 men seen near murdered family's home
Patrick Sullivan, his wife Deborah and their daughter Wendy were stabbed to death in their west Nashville home.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro police are working to identify two men seen around the west Nashville home where a family of three was killed last week.
Deborah Sullivan, 48, and her 26-year-old daughter Wendy were found dead inside the home located at 5800 Maxon Avenue last Monday afternoon.
Responding officers found Deborah's husband and Wendy's father, 56-year-old Patrick Sullivan, dead in a shed behind the residence.
The victims were stabbed to death.
Police said they have learned during their investigation that a white man and black man were separately seen at the home between 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the morning of the murders.
Authorities are very interested in identifying the two men and speaking to them and anyone else who may have visited the Sullivan's home prior to their deaths.
Police spokesperson Don Aaron said the department has no reason to believe the killings were random.
"We do not believe this was a random crime," he said. "We believe the person or persons responsible came to this specific house for a reason. It is very likely that the person or persons responsible knew one or more of the victims."
Anyone with information on the murders is urged to call Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
