Belmont dorm evacuated due to gas leak

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A dormitory on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville was evacuated Wednesday afternoon due to a gas leak.

The leak was reported just before 1:30 p.m. at Dickens Hall.

A construction accident reportedly ruptured a gas line.

The line was repaired and students were allowed to reenter the dorm about 90 minutes later.

There were no reports of injuries.

Additional information was not released.
