NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A school bus driver and her passengers are okay after their bus collided with a deer Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported just after 5:30 a.m. on Old Hickory Boulevard between Whites Creek and Clarksville pikes.
According to the driver, she was traveling along Old Hickory Boulevard toward Clarksville Pike when a large buck ran into the road and hit the front of the school bus.
The buck continued running after the collision.
One student and a bus monitor were on board at the time of the incident.
The driver said they were heading to Cora Howe Elementary School in the Inglewood area.
No injuries were reported.
One headlight on the bus broke as a result of the collision.
Traffic is being diverted while police work the incident.
