NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Authorities are investigating after a teen crashed into a brick wall in the Bordeaux area early Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported just before 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ashland City Highway and North Hydes Ferry Road.
According to police, the 16-year-old male was heading toward Clarksville Highway when he lost control of the vehicle, hit a rock wall and crossed the oncoming lanes of traffic.
Police said the teen was driving his grandparent's car at the time of the crash. Inside the car, authorities found a shotgun and his grandmother's purse.
Police say speed and alcohol were likely factors in the crash.
