Nationwide Charities:

American Red Cross – To donate call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit RedCross.org. Ten dollar donations can also be made by texting the word REDCROSS to 90999.  
The American Red Cross is also taking blood donations. To schedule an appointment, visit RedCrossBlood.org.

The Salvation Army – The non-profit organization has set up dozens of mobile feeding units and shelters along the East Coast to serve the heaviest hit areas.

Feeding America – Feeding America is distributing thousands of pounds of food, water and other necessities to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

AmeriCares – AmeriCares is helping provide medications and other supplies to those impacted by the hurricane.

World Vision – The non-profit organization is helping distribute flood clean-up kits, as well as personal hygiene items and emergency food kits to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee – The non-profit organization is working closely with sister community foundations to help hurricane victims with pressing needs.

The Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort – Volunteers are also needed at their Nashville distribution center located 410 Allied Drive.
