Country music royalties were in Music City on Monday night to attend the 50th annual ASCAP Awards.
Lyle Lovett was among those honored during the show by taking home the ASCAP Creative Voice Award.
"Country music, well not only country music, but great songs are about authenticity. I have been so lucky in my career to work with people who have supported me and let me be myself really," Lovett said.
The annual event also honored other songwriters and artists.
"There is something nice when you first start, there is innocence to your songwriting that I would always love to tap back into because sometimes you find some happy mistakes in there," Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum said.
The annual event was held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort.
