A man wanted for robbing several different gas stations in Nashville is now in jail.
Romonte Phillips, 38, is charged with the attempted robbery of the Shell on Charlotte Pike and the actual robbery of Mapco on 21st Avenue.
Police said Phillips is also a strong suspect in the robberies of three other Nashville convenience stores.
In all the cases, the suspect demanded money and threatened the use of weapon.
No weapon was shown, however, in any of the incidents.
Phillips was taken into custody without incident after an officer spotted him after the robbery of the Mapco.
Police said Phillips is a convicted bank robber on federal probation.
