2 teens killed in Bellevue crash

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Excessive speed appears to be the primary contributing factor in Friday night's single-car crash on Highway 70 in Bellevue that claimed the lives of two teenagers.

Police identified the victims as 19-year-old Neejervan Abdy and 18-year-old Michael Fishback.

The preliminary investigation shows that Abdy was driving his 2004 Infiniti G35 east on Highway 70 at a high rate of speed at 9:15 p.m. when he came upon a slower vehicle near Colice Jeanne Road.

It appears Abdy attempted to swerve to avoid hitting the vehicle, but lost control of the Infiniti. It traveled off the roadway and collided with a tree.

Both teens died at the scene.

Police said neither victim appeared to be wearing a seatbelt.

There was no indication at the scene of alcohol or drug involvement.
