Elderly woman, son displaced after fire damages home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

An elderly woman and her son are displaced after a fire sparked at their north Nashville home late Friday afternoon.

The blaze was reported at 335 Homestead Road, near Dickerson Pike just after 3:30 p.m.

The American Red Cross is assisting the woman and her 40-year-old son.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.

The home is considered a complete loss.

No injuries were reported.
