Already one of America's best places to work, the Hospital Corporation of America is expanding their footprint in Middle Tennessee with plans to develop two new corporate headquarters in midtown Nashville.
For the last four years, HCA has been ranked in Computer World's list of best places to work and there are lots of reasons why.
The HCA campus, just north of Centennial Park, has an onsite fitness center complete with stationary bikes, free weights and a skyline view, as well as an on-site wellness center free to employees.
"This is a place where all the employees can come and get their flu shots, have health screenings, diabetes education… They can come here for their everyday needs, headaches, colds, breast health, everything," employee Hannah Curlee told Nashville's News 2.
As you might expect from a leading hospital corporation, health-conscious options are all over the menu at the in-house cafeteria from salmon, shrimp and chicken to carrots, fruit and bottled water.
There's also an on site childcare center for employees.
"We want to have a healthy work environment but we believe that happy and engaged employees are going to do the best job," vice president explained.
HCA plans to hire an additional 1,000 people to work at its new corporate headquarters to be built in Midtown at the West End Summit. The company already employs 7,000 in Middle Tennessee.
