Neighbors set up fund in memory of murdered family
Patrick Sullivan, his wife Deborah and their daughter Wendy were found murdered October 22.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Neighbors have set up a memorial fund in honor of a west Nashville family who were found murdered in their home earlier this week.
Donations to the Sullivan Memorial Fund can be made at any First Tennessee Bank.
Deborah Sullivan, 48, and her 26-year-old daughter Wendy were found dead inside the home located at 5800 Maxon Avenue on Monday afternoon.
Responding officers found Deborah's husband and Wendy's father, 56-year-old Patrick Sullivan, dead in a shed behind the residence.
Police have said all three family members suffered extensive trauma but have yet to say how they died.
Police spokesperson Don Aaron said the department has no reason to believe the killings were random.
"We do not believe this was a random crime," he said. "We believe the person or persons responsible came to this specific house for a reason. It is very likely that the person or persons responsible knew one or more of the victims."
Police arrested two accused robbers for questioning in the case earlier this week.
Officers have since determined the pair had no involvement in the triple slaying.
Anyone with information on the murders is urged to call Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
