Authorities say Michael Gragg could be hiding out in west Nashville.
ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. -
Authorities in Cheatham County have released the name of the man who rented a U-Haul truck that was allegedly used to try and steal a man's all-terrain vehicle earlier this week.
Homeowner Jerry Cannon told Nashville's News 2 he heard his RTV start up around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and spotted a man driving it down his driveway.
Cannon said he got into his truck and confronted the man on a side street nearby.
He said the man tried to run him over, so he discharged a gun and shot two bullet holes into the man's U-Haul truck.
According to authorities, the truck had been rented by Michael Gragg, who could be hiding out in west Nashville.
Authorities said Gragg did steal two chainsaws and a rifle belonging to Cannon.
Warrants have been issued charging him with theft over $10,000 and aggravated assault.
Anyone with information on Gragg's whereabouts is urged to call the Cheatham County Sheriff's Office at 615-792-2098.
