GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a woman was killed in a collision with a driver's education vehicle carrying three students and a teacher from Sardis High School.
The Gadsden Times reports that the accident happened around 10:25 a.m. Thursday at an intersection on Highway 431 North in Guntersville.
Guntersville police identified the woman as Sarah Moody of Guntersville, who was driving a 1993 Cutlass Sierra. Marshall County Coroner Marlon Killion said she was pronounced dead at Marshall Medical Center North.
Sardis High Principal Gerald Beard said the three 15-year-old students were treated and released with non-serious injuries from Marshall Medical Center South. A hospital spokesman said driver's education instructor Brock Rutledge also was treated and released from the facility.
Guntersville police were investigating the cause of the collision.
