3 jewelry store robbery suspects taken into custody

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

Franklin police arrested three people accused of robbing an area jewelry store on Thursday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at Platinum Jewelers located at 790 Jordan Road just after 1:30 p.m.

Police reported one of the three men engaged the lone clerk in a conversation, while the other two suspects reached over the counter and began grabbing jewelry.

The trio, who has been identified as Reginald Baxter, 23, Lenardo Spencer, 32, and Deandre Dean, 18, fled in a silver Dodge Magnum.

The men were taken into custody at a Nashville apartment complex following a pursuit a short time later.

All three remained jailed on robbery and theft charges over $1,000.

Bond for Baxter and Spencer, who are both convicted felons, was set at $25,000.

Dean's bond was set at $5,000.

The men are set to appear in court on November 1.
