A 40-year old business based out of Massachusetts is set to open its newest call center in Clarksville next week.
Beginning on Monday dozens of employees will fill the more than 50,000 square foot Agero call center located at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Corporate Business Park, located just off Interstate 24 at exit 4.
"It's a career opportunity and for Clarksville also we have over 100 clients," explained regional director George Fitzgerald. "This is going to be a client destination I believe. They are going to come here. They are going to learn more about Clarksville and it's only going to be good for the city."
Officials told Nashville's News 2 employees will answer and respond to motorists in need of road side assistance.
"This main characteristic that people have to have is empathy. They have to understand that person on the side of the road. Envision that it's their mom, their dad, their sister and their brother and provide really good support because that may be the only call that person ever makes to Agero," said Director of Human Resources Cathy Tylutki.
Currently Agero has hired 50 people, however that number is expected to increase to as many as 500 in the future.
