Man wanted for breaking into victim's car at YMCA

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

Franklin police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man who recently broke into a victim's car at an area YMCA.

The incident occurred last Wednesday night at the YMCA located on S. Royal Oaks Boulevard.

According to police, the suspect entered the gym and proceeded to go into the men's locker room.

Once inside the locker room, the man broke two padlocks off of lockers and stole a set of car keys.

Police said the man then used the victim's electronic key to locate and unlock the vehicle to steal a wallet inside the center console.   

The victim may have fled the scene in a dark-colored Lincoln sedan.

Anyone with information on the incident, or the suspect's identity is urged to contact police at 615-794-4000.
