Police said materials used in a meth lab were discovered on a Murfreesboro playground early Tuesday afternoon. The materials, including a plastic bottle with chemicals inside and tubing, were discovered by a teacher around 12:30 p.m. at Mitchell-Neilson Primary School located on Jones Boulevard. Authorities were called to the school and removed the items, which underwent testing and revealed remnants of a meth lab. Murfreesboro police spokesperson Kyle Evans said meth was not found on school property. The school and playground have since been decontaminated and disinfected. No additional information was released.
