MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -
Police said materials used in a meth lab were discovered on a Murfreesboro playground early Tuesday afternoon.
The materials, including a plastic bottle with chemicals inside and tubing, were discovered by a teacher around 12:30 p.m. at Mitchell-Neilson Primary School located on Jones Boulevard.
Authorities were called to the school and removed the items, which underwent testing and revealed remnants of a meth lab.
Murfreesboro police spokesperson Kyle Evans said meth was not found on school property.
The school and playground have since been decontaminated and disinfected.
No additional information was released.
