NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A west Nashville couple and their 26-year-old daughter were found slain Monday afternoon in the family's home off Robertson Avenue and Briley Parkway.
Metro police said a 28-year-old woman returned home around 2:15 p.m. and found her mother, 48-year-old Deborah Sullivan, and sister, 26-year-old Wendy Sullivan, dead inside the home located at 5800 Maxon Avenue.
Responding officers found Deborah's husband and Wendy's father, 56-year-old Patrick Sullivan, dead in a shed behind the residence.
All suffered extensive trauma but police would not say how they died.
It was not immediately clear if Wendy also lived in the Maxon Avenue home.
It's believed a next-door neighbor was the last to speak to the victims between 9 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Monday morning.
Officers canvassed the neighborhood hoping to find anyone with information on what happened after that.
There were no signs of forced entry and police are following every possible lead, spokesperson Don Aaron said in a news conference Monday afternoon.
No suspects have been named.
The woman who discovered the bodies has not been identified.
Autopsies will be conducted to determine cause of death.
