NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Authorities in Lumberton, North Carolina arrested a man Monday morning wanted for a murder last month in the parking lot of an Antioch motel.

Ronald McCallum, 18, is accused in the September 20 fatal shooting of Abanzer Tsegaye.

Metro police said Tsegaye, 21, was shot outside the Knights Inn located at 1111 Bell Road when he and a friend went to the motel to purchase marijuana.

McCallum was identified by a witness as being one of the two men Tsegaye was dealing with when gunfire erupted.

At the time of the murder, McCallum was free on bond in relation to a felony marijuana arrest from January 16.

He failed to show on that case September 26 and a warrant was issued.

McCallum will be returned to Nashville in the coming days, police said.
