Three men driving down an alley in east Nashville were victims of a shooting late Sunday night.
Police did not release the exact location of the shooting, but following the altercation shortly before 9 p.m., the victims sought help at the Walgreens off of Gallatin Avenue not far from Douglas Avenue.
The three men initially told police they became lost trying to get home. According to officials, as they turned down the alley, a man stepped in front of their truck blocking their path. Police believe the men were familiar with the area.
One victim stepped out of the truck and asked the man to move.
Police say a second suspect then shot the victim in the chest before fleeing on foot.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical center and was last listed in stable condition.
The suspects are described as two black males in their 20s.
One is six feet tall, has short black hair and weighs approximately 200 pounds.
The other is also about six feet tall, has short hair, a tattoo under one of his eyes and weighs approximately 180 pounds.
Upon further investigation, police believe the shooting may have been drug related.
