Man stabbed in Murfreesboro parking lot

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

A man is in serious condition after being stabbed in the parking lot outside the Bonefish Grill located on the corner of Thompson Lane and Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro.

Authorities told Nashville's News 2 a group of people met in the parking lot and argued.

The victim was stabbed when the argument escalated.

The victim drove himself to Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was last listed in serious condition.

Police said a suspect was quickly identified and was taken into custody for questioning.

The investigation is ongoing.
