NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A man and his dog managed to escape their burning home north of Nashville Thursday morning.
The blaze broke out around 8:30 a.m. at the home located at 621 Malta Drive just east of Bordeaux.
First responders reported the house was fully engulfed upon arrival.
A man inside the home was awakened by his dog and the duo escaped without injuries.
The man's wife had taken his daughter to school before the blaze began, and no one else was inside the home.
