NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

An Antioch dental clinic is inviting people who can't afford to see a dentist, to come out anyway.

It's called Free Dentistry Day and its Friday at the Bell Road clinic from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cane Ridge Dentist office manager Charissa Washburn explained, "A lot of people don't have dental insurance and this is a way for them to maybe get dentistry just one day a year."

Dozens of people began lining up Thursday evening to ensure a spot in line to receive care. The first person in line, Karen Bain, arrived at 6:30 p.m.

Friday marks the third year in a row the dental office has given away free dental care. Dr. Anna Singh said Friday was the strongest turnout they've had so far.

Over 70 volunteers and 15 dentists will be on hand to make the day a success.  It is always a very busy day but staff say it's a day they look forward to.

"No one is getting paid. No one gets anything back except.  We are blessed by those that talk to us and tell us thank you so much for what you are doing," Washburn said.

New this year, while people wait to see the dentist, they will be able to take advantage of other health services.

Washburn explained, "We have an eye doctor coming that will be doing free screening and the Red Cross will be signing people up for a blood drive that we will hold here later in the year."

Cane Ridge Dentist is located at 1315 Bell Road in Antioch.  They are still looking for volunteers to help on Friday and donations, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste.
