I had pretty much given up on any severe storms due to cloud cover inhibiting heating and hence any strong convection, and The Storm Prediction Center has confirmed that suspicion.

Their new outlook removes us from the "Slight Risk".

Although eventually a line of showers and storms may outline the approaching cold front, it is getting too late in the day for any heating to support it.
