Dierks Bentley motorcycle ride, concert canceled

Posted:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Dierks Bentley's annual Music & Miles for Kids motorcycle ride and concert has been canceled due to the threat of high winds and thunderstorms Sunday.

Event organizers have yet to say if the event will be rescheduled.

Musicians such as Sheryl Crow, Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert were all scheduled to perform at Riverfront Park Sunday evening.

Ahead of Sunday's forecasted showers and thunderstorms, south winds will be gusting near or above 25 miles-per-hour.

Thunderstorms are expected to push across the Tennessee River Sunday morning through lunchtime, and into Nashville during the mid-afternoon hours.

A few isolated storms could produce damaging winds. Although an isolated tornado can't be totally ruled out, damaging winds are the primary threat.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to push out later tonight followed by some cooler temperatures.
