Man taking out trash attacked, robbed

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man taking out his trash was allegedly ambushed by three men before being robbed at his home in northwest Nashville Thursday night.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. at a home on in the 3300 block of Clifton Avenue at 34th Avenue North.

The victim told police he was taking out the trash when he saw three men approaching him.

Metro police told Nashville's News 2, as he tried to run inside his home and slam the door, the men forced their way inside, knocked him over and hit him in the head.

The suspects took the victim's wallet, cash and an unidentified item from the bedroom.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police are looking for three black males, two of which appear to be in their late teens. One was wearing dark pants and a black hoodie. The other was wearing a gray hoodie with a white shirt over his face.

The suspect that hit the victim was also wearing dark pants with a black hoodie and appeared to be in his mid-20s.
