Clarksville man says pet monkey was stolen while at work

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A Clarksville man reported to police that his pet Marmoset monkey was stolen while he was at work late last month.

The incident occurred at a home located the 100 block of Denny Road on Tuesday, September 28.

The resident, Douglas Jackson, told police he double checked his home's door before he left for work just after 11 a.m.

Upon his return home just after 6:30 p.m., Jackson said he found his dog outside with his home's door wide open. He also discovered his monkey, Gizzy, was gone.

No other property was reported missing from Jackson's home.
